Babcock Ranch Community Independent Special District (“District”) is an independent special district, established by House Bill 1515 (codified in Chapter 2007-306, Laws of Florida) passed by the Florida Legislature and approved by the Governor of Florida on June 27, 2007. The District encompasses approximately 13,630 grid acres of land located within Charlotte and Lee Counties, Florida. The lands within the District are planned for a mix-use development.

District Infrastructure and Property
The District has not yet raised funding to install its planned public infrastructure improvements nor does it own any real property.
District Annual Budgets
The District annually approves an operations and maintenance (“O&M”) budget, which outlines the expected general revenues and expenses for the District. There is no annual debt service budget since the District has yet to issue any indebtedness.
